Kool Personality Profiles for X-mas

Dear Blog World,

Wow!!! It's been a long time since I've written!!!

So Adrien and I got this great idea for Christmas and I wanted to share it with all of you, we started by having a discussion about our little differences and what we have in common we were having a very "psychological" viewed discussion like color types, love language, and even zodiac sign.  Anyway, to make a long story short we decided to make a personality profile for each another and give it to the other one for christmas.

After that discussion, I don't know I felt a lot closer to my husband, maybe because I felt I understood him a bit more.  I'm so excited to study things about him and to do a complete personality profile to remind myself of all his strengths which are a lot and to understand him a lot more!  I'm not a total zodiac, chinese birth years, birth order, etc. etc. believer, it's just fun to see how accurate it is at times and it's just fun to try to get yourself, that doesn't mean you can't change!

What I mean I guess is I don't think because you read something about your zodiac sign that, that's how it is and your are like this or that and you're always going to be that way and you'll never change.  But knowing those things and being aware can sometimes encourage if not motivate you to change negative or weak points you might have more of a tendency to.

Anyway it's just a fun little thing that I'm totally recommending to anyone who is trying to figure out their spouse a bit more, it's just fun to be like, oh! that's how I am or nope I'm not like that! It really starts some very interesting conversations.  But my only advice is don't look into the love compatibility or too much into zodiac because it's not 100%

lol...for example it says in our love compatibility that Virgo's(adrien's) and Aries(my zodiac) have a more difficult relationship and shouldn't be together really lol, but yeah we are just fine and happy :) so I don't know, I would do more things like love language test and the color test whether you are red, blue, yellow or white personality...If anyone is interested in what sites or more details of what I'm doing let me know in your comments, i'll save my sites and info searches I use...

Outline for Personality Profile...EXAMPLE MAKE IT YOUR OWN!

Introduction-(Spouse's Name, DOB, general info, grew up where?)

-Birth Order (oldest, youngest, middle child?)

-Birth Year (year of the dragon, pig, tiger, whatever they are)

-Environmental (Home/Family/Friends/Schooling Choices, *sometimes highly culturally influenced like with us how Adrien is from Europe and I'm from the U.S.A :)...etc)

-Color Test :)

-love language test (gary chapman's)

-Left-handed/Right-handed

-Zodiac Sign

-Based on What I Know...(how can i make this person feel happy, loved, feel better, etc. you could do something like list 25 brownie points that you can score with this person if you do these things, for example if they have acts of service as their love language, a lot of your list might consist of acts of service you can do for that person, helping them with something that they know you don't specifically love but you are doing it to help them and show them you care about them :))  Or if they have a personality trait like they are sensitive to criticism you can put something on your list about how you can softly tell them something without having it seem like criticism.

I really want to hear your comments if you try this, it really is exciting for adrien and me to do this because I feel when you make efforts to understand one another more you gain more respect and it draws you closer which in turn makes you just love them more and more for who they are :).  Also, if there is anything else anyone would recommend adding to this basic outline let me know.

Also, it shouldn't be paragraphs and paragraphs of major detail but bolded major points:

Yellow Personality

*generally carefree

*easy going

*fun-loving with others

for example...anyway hope you get the idea...this is a cheap but fun present if you are a poor college student and want to have a touching experience with your spouse...I'll let you know more once I've thought of more....Ready, set, RESEARCH TIME! :))))))

Warm Fuzzies

Today in Primary there was this video shared by one of the ladies in the primary presidency and it touched me a lot.  This morning I almost didn't go to church just because I didn't feel well at all, sore throat, headache, feverish, etc. etc. Well thanks to the fact that I couldn't find a sub and my encouraging husband :).  I decided to go anyway, even though it hurt to talk even.  Anyway, I slept a little longer than usually and with some nice cold remedies such as hot water, honey and lemon homemade tea.  I made it to church feeling not 100% but doing alright considering how I felt when I woke up earlier that morning.  After teaching class, or should I say doing a video (Daniel and the Lion's Den), we went to sharing time.

This video I posted is a talk from Thomas S. Monson or little parts of it, about the service given by Primary children.  It was so touching I cried....Yeah been doing that a lot lately.  I was joking with Ashly about how I used to never cry and now it's like my tear ducts have learned their true function all of a sudden.  Adrien is a witness to the fact that I cried during Toy Story 3...I know, but the end was really touching for me!

Anyway, the message of warm fuzzies is a nice reminder to us about how by small and simple service actions can sometimes make a big difference.  I definitely want to do something like that when I have kids in our home.  I think it is such a great idea.  Warm Fuzzies are the best! I love it when Pres. Monson tells stories like this I feel a lot more connected to what he is saying and am touched by what he says, I feel a greater desire to change and to become better.  He truly is a prophet of God.

I made rolls today, just because they sounded good, I love rolls when they are just out of the oven, they smell warm and divine.  I love thanksgiving I can't wait until it's here!

well that's all for now! let me know what you think of the video I added!

Watch this Warm Fuzzy :)

First "BLIND" Date

The first place we went to was Mimi's Cafe.  That restaurant will always hold a special place in my heart just because it is where Adrien and I had our first date.  I remember waiting for the table and listening intently to everything going on in our double date, between the French and English, it was interesting.  Pretty much once we got to our table.

Adrien and I started talking more exclusively with one another, mostly because James and Minh Anh were talking so intently in french to one another.  I had wondered if he was going to be just like every other guy.  But he was different, very different besides the obvious cultural differences, he was a challenge.  I couldn't pinpoint him right on the spot and that was intriguing, I felt myself drawn in to what he was saying about French dating and just his observations and what he had found interesting about the whole experience of being "here".  "Here" was home, my home, the place I was born, the United States of America.  You don't think about it too much as you are going about your daily routines with school and work but this is home and it was strange to think that this was a place completely foreign to this guy sitting next to me.  We spoke about the differences in French dating and American dating while we waited for our food, he opened up about how in France you just "hook-up" sometimes with just knowing the person a very short while, when I saw a short while I mean like if you hit it off, you hook up, which can happen sometimes in an hour.  I was completely shocked to hear this and that this form of dating was used even in LDS culture.  Where as some people don't starting going "steady" for a while here sometimes weeks, even months.  Then as far a physical matters are concerned and this entirely depends on the person, but I'm just speak from my personal experience.

I had never kissed on a first date and at times dated people for some time without even kissing them at all.  I personally had tried hard not to focus on the physical and get to know the person and care for them truly before I threw in physical affections such as cuddling and kissing.  However, Adrien was telling me that was almost never the case in France and that when you go on a date you are "dating" that person is your boyfriend or girlfriend.  So there isn't really "dating" over there you could say at least the same as it is here.  Once you like someone you just start dating them and I guess if you figure out it isn't working you just break-up within a week, two weeks, a month, 2 years, however long it is.  I feel here, we take the huge leap of saying a person is your boyfriend or girlfriend I mean it's a completely different relationship that entitles serious commitment and exclusiveness.

Anyway, as this was being spoken about, I shot a quick glance at Minh Anh and James who were getting cozier...and cozier...I suddenly got nervous and looked at Adrien who gave me a smile and look that seriously made me feel like he could see right through me, and I felt extremely exposed.  It's like he had read my mind, which probably wasn't too hard to notice but still, I hope he couldn't read me that well 'what was he expecting'?? I had just explained to him and he was on an American date.  I suddenly felt that I should make it clear by being as platonic as possible or else he might get mixed signals.  After all, come on, he's from the other side of the world.  Even starting to like him would be a mistake, because there would be no chance that I would ever see him again.  I don't do flings, or "short stories" as my sweet now sister'n'law calls them.  I didn't want him to say he had some fling with an American girl either,  the very thought offended me already even though Adrien had not given me any wrong ideas of his intentions.

In fact, he seemed kinda perfect, tactful, considerate, overall good manners, clean appearance, and like I had mentioned before, smelled A-mazing...Funny too, I found myself being surprised by his quick humor and intelligence that seemed to exceed what was normal for his age.  His maturity impressed me, and the more i got to know him the more I disliked the fact that I did like what I was hearing, it was amazing how much we had in common.  When he said some things it was as if he had voiced thoughts that I had had previously at one time or another.  It was almost bizarre, how someone from an entirely different place could have feelings and thoughts that almost mirrored my own.  We had a lot of the same views and the overall conversation was agreeable, no awkward moments just excitement as we became more and more engrossed in conversation and intrigue.  I didn't want to outwardly mention how much I was initially starting to like him, I just felt myself and my cheeks especially getting a little warmer every time we had a "moment" when I say "moment" I mean that initial connection that two people experience and it's remarkable and special and it happened too much for my taste.

So after dinner, we had brainstormed about what to do next, well finally I suggested we go to a local comedy club in Provo.  That was clean and funny, usually entertaining sometimes they had dry nights, but I thought it might be culturally interesting for the boys especially since it was totally American humor mixed in with a little LDS humor as well.   I mean let's be honest like 95% of Provo is Mormon.  I figured it would be a little different then what they were used to, even though I didn't know at all what french humor was like nor had I had any prior experience with the exception of Minh Anh, but I thought mostly that it would be interesting to see their reactions.

Remarkably enough, Adrien understood a lot more innuendos then I thought he would.  He seemed to catch on quite well and I of course was laughing my head off, it was a funny night for comedy sportz.  However, Minh Anh had to explain more than half in French to James so he was laughing usually a few seconds after everyone else, it was really enjoyable.  Then all of a sudden out of the blue Adrien puts his arm around me resting on the chair behind me.  I shot Minh Anh a wide eyed glance shocked. What did this mean? He wasn't holding my shoulder, his arm was just resting on my back of my chair touching my back.

My heart was pounding and I felt a bit of adrenaline rush through me, what was this subtle gesture implying, interest? platonic affection? Was it a french thing? I had no clue.  Was he seriously giving me a sign that he liked me and was interested and was open to...to...I don't know what? what could there be? I was so distracted by these thoughts and many others as the comedian came up and asked to say a phrase all together and I missed it entirely looking stupid because I was so caught up in what was going on between me and this french guy next to me.  Oh he must think he's soooo suave, it was so frustrating that I was getting inwardly flustered.  How could he be so cool and calm, and he just looked at me and smiled a dashing smile and I literally felt weak at the knees.  I'm usually the calm, cool one, nope, I think I had just met my match.

Earlier in the restroom where Minh anh and I had had a woman-woman talk about the boys I had admitted I was interested and liked him but did I mean just generally or was there something more?  We were all having such a good time that we decided to drive around and keep the night going longer, we had gotten the idea to do a Sunday meal where we could invite some more people over after church for the guys to meet so we decided to go to wal-mart and then go back to Minh Anh's house which was a little distance away but somewhere we could just relax and talk, plus that is where Adrien's family was staying at the time.

When we went to Wal-Mart for supplies it was hilarious to see the child-like WOW expressions on their faces, I don't think they'd ever seen a superstore quite like it.  Adrien was amazed that Wal-Mart seemed to have EVERYTHING...I already knew a little bit about markets and stores over in France from previous conversations with Minh Anh.  But there isn't anything quite like Wal-Mart over there, I mean there's similar stores but not quite so BIG.

That's the other thing everything was Big to Adrien, the glasses, the food quantity, even the refills amazed both James and Adrien.  I learned that night that they don't have root beer in France which is personally my favorite soda so I can see how precious root beer was to Adrien when later on he bought a huge big gulp from 7-eleven.  More root beer than I drink in a month.  So when we got back to Minh Anh's, Minh Anh and I changed into comfortable clothes PJ-like clothes and we continued the evening.  The night was still young lol....Okay so normally I don't agree with staying up all night with a date blah blah blah, I know we were breaking about 10 BYU standard rules that night, we were having such a great time.

We opened a bottle of apple cider and sat in the basement and talked until very late in the night just the four of us.  Well it turned more exclusive later on as Minh Anh and James got cozier and Adrien and I had a mini converation on his palm.  I know it sounds a little dorky but it was cute at the same time.  I found myself being exposed again as he seemed to know me all to well for just having met me.  I was not embarrassed but began to share and speak about things that normally I was reluctant to share with most people.

He did the same and I listened as he explained different goals and things he had came to a conclusion of while on his mission and how much he loved serving people.  My heart was so touched by his love of serving others and found that was something I wished I was better at.  I really gained a lot of respect and admiration for him with that silent conversation where only typed words and expressions were used to communicate.  I can't remember how it happened, but it was almost immediate how we just held hands and spoke to one another.  There wasn't anything passionate or overly romantic but just like I mentioned before "moments".  Moments I'll never forget, we later moved to a different part of the house and just spoke until well into the hours of the night.

That's the first time I was up all night long on a date just talking, it was so addicting both of us, not wanting to part just wanting to know more and more as if we'd lived so long just to meet and were so dehydrated and wanted to drink in as much as possible.  Our conversation was interrupted by people stirring and waking up for church that day.  I couldn't believe how long we had talked.  I didn't want to leave him we were so close! We'd ended up cuddling a bit whilst continuing to speak and now that his arms were fully around me I didn't want to leave!

But to not arise any eyebrows or suspicious glances our way we resolved to part and get ready for the day as to not give any impression that we were being inappropriate in anyway.  As Minh Anh and I got ready for church, I was feeling so good I could sing and dance and lalallalalalallala through the day.  Then one thought sank into me like a dark cloud on a sunny day.  What had happened? Did I find myself starting to get giddy over a guy I just met not only that someone who I might possible never see again after today.  I began to feel slowly more and more saddened at the thought.  Lala land had been interrupted by this terrible truth...after today, I'm never seeing Adrien again.

Adrien...

Quick question from Adrien!?!? Who checks this blog???

You can't succeed without failing sometimes

I came home today and kneeled down in front of my husband, and bursted into tears like a weeping child.  I buried my face into his chest and let out a good cry what therapy that can sometimes be.  He is so wonderful and I feel guilty sometimes that I'm not stronger.  Today, I found out that I have to do my math class all over again.  I don't want to do it, it's that simple.

I'm not bad at Math, but this is a horribly hard math class.  My father says I'm a bit softer in the mathematics/and mathematical sciences.  I did not want to believe this and worked hard, but this poor psychology major did fail and I hate it when I fail.  It's just plain lousy...On a more positive note, I will be able to breeze through the assignments and hopefully do better second time around, I've never failed any class before in my life so this is a humbling experience for me.

I feel like this is a set back in my education, but it's only supposed to make me stronger I'm assuming...I really worked so hard and feel completely spent, I don't want to do it again! I am asking God, to please give me strength to do this!  One of my favorite quotes about falling down and having to try again is from Thomas Palmer, "Tis a lesson you should heed, Try, try again. If at first you don't succeed, Try, try again."

"IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED"

"WE ARE NOT fast learners. In fact, we don't learn at all. Not anything of substance, at least. All we learn is fear; and fear is overwhelmed by need; and need finds its ally in hope. We do not learn to stop trying. We fall down and some kind soul picks us up and dries away our tears and pats us and powders us and sends us on our way again. We put out timid feelers, ready instantly to retract at the slightest rebuff, but we keep on putting them out. A shy and hopeful smile greets every prospect, though if it is not returned, we may pretend that we were just smiling to ourselves. We are ashamed at our need and try to hide it, but everybody knows. They know because they are like us. Everybody's been there, or is there, or is going there soon. Everybody. In matters of the heart, there is no respect of persons.

Anyway just some food for thought there, don't feel bad it happens to everyone we all have to fail one way or another or we can't succeed!  So I take a deep breath and stand up and keep going.  When you feel at the bottom there's no other way to go but UP! :)

Besides that little factor, today was great, my husband made dinner for me, what a wonderful MAN!!! I was feeling a little down tonight and even though he was getting over the flu (he was not well at all yesterday) he still made a lovely dinner and comforted me in my moment of disappointment to the point that I feel just fine.  All is well!

Good night All!

At First Sight

On the phone I contemplated my dilemma. I was expecting Minh Anh to arrive and was looking at my clock she was a bit late which worked out because I was still on the phone. I heard a knock on the door excited that she had arrived and excited to get to know these "French" boys. Supposedly there were these boys who were from France visiting the U.S. with their family. That's all I knew really and quite frankly I didn't care to know much. My intrigue got the best of me and I was interested in the culture aspect of being acquainted with these French boys. I was still on the phone, expecting Minh Anh I didn't think she would mind, I swung the door open and I nearly dropped the phone at what I saw... It wasn't Minh Anh instead I had a young man with his hand outstretched introducing himself I didn't catch what he said because of the accent and also because I was completely caught off guard. "whaa-at?" I felt really silly now and quickly got off the phone. The person on the other end completely forgotten. He repeated himself. "my name is Adrien" he looked a bit embarrassed for a split second I wondered why I should be embarrassed how rude to be on the phone i was mentally kicking myself. Now I understood but repeated it to make sure I had understood correctly. My first thought was, 'isn't that a girls name???' The only 'Adrienne' I've ever known was a girl. But nothing about this young man was feminine. He had a very nice white sweater that zipped up in the front, the collar was upturned with black lining very European looking by style and the normal casual jeans however he just had a sophisticated look about him that was anything but casual. He was tall probably about 6'1" or 6'2" if I had to guess and dark brown hair. He smiled at me encouragingly once we'd gotten over this initial awkward greeting because I had my right hand on the phone when we tried to shake hands it was left hand with right hand. We both kind of laughed and that's when I noticed his very becoming dimples in both cheeks and warm brown eyes. He stepped inside and with him came this aroma of cologne unlike any I had ever experienced. He smelt amazing, Minh Anh had bragged about how wonderful French boys smelled with their "parfum français". Even with this knowledge I was unprepared I was drawn to him just by his smell and that has never happened to me before! In all honesty I was annoyed he smelled so good and was not bad looking I really was not looking for anything. To my relief, Adrien didn't look like he was desperately searching and that made me relax a little bit. I just kept telling myself it's just a date...it's just a date...a cultural experience. But I nervously smoothed my hair suddenly self-conscious hoping I looked good...uggh why did i care? He looked so like a missionary and it didn't surprise me when he said he had just gotten off his mission. That's what it was he had the fresh off the mission field glow. No wonder he was so...so handsome?? Hahahaha, no I was not going to even admit that yet. Anyway I went into outgoing mode. "so where's minh anh and James, is it?" I didn't have to ask as they tumbled over one another coming up the stairs laughing at their stumble, cheeks flushed and obvious sparks going on. I had a deep inward groan they had already clicked well and what if Adrien was boring or made for extremely awkward conversation. Yes he smelled way too nice and was good looking but he could be boring or I might not be able to understand him. Plus they were speaking French being the only american on this date who couldn't speak French worried me even more, this might not be as great or interesting as I thought. But then again why all of a sudden were my expectations so high? Was it because I found myself actually being interested in Adrien? I looked at him again and noticed something else a scar it was quite deep from the corner of his mouth going up his cheek ending just a couple of inches below his eye. I was intrigued wanting to touch it like a little curious child and say 'how did that happen?' but of course thought the better of it. I continued outgoing mode "ok, you guys wanted an American date, well we (meaning Minh Anh and myself) are going to show you a good time!" Adrien looked taken aback by my words surprised at my outspokenness I suppose, he chuckled a bit but I didn't care I was just out to have fun. So they followed me down the stairs of college terrace the apartment complex I lived in at the time. Well I'm an American girl and ok maybe Americans are loud but they wanted an American date an so here we go! Today, this is the short story of my first impression of my now husband Adrien the first time we met. I was very indifferent the first time I met him and I had no idea how this one event would change my life forever. I later found out that when I was on the phone he had accidentally introduced himself as a missionary saying "hello, I'm Elder Kool" which is why he was initially embarrassed or felt awkward. I was still on the phone and the other person speaking at the same time as him introducing himself mixed in with expecting my dear college friend and first time hearing his accent, just threw me for a loop and I missed it. Continuing the story of our first date another day. Today was a good day I felt so exhausted for some reason that I took a little nap. I nanny two very cute kids, so I nannyed this morning. Still haven't heard about what's going to happen with my math class. I'm such an impatient person sometimes. But I want to go forwards so I know what's next to do as far as classes are concerned. I've started studying French a bit more. Also still heavily absorbed in Hunger Games just want to read and read, just wondering what will happen to katniss, peeta, and the others with the victors. I'm in the middle of the second book. I'm excited for this weekend because I'm watching two little dogs and have my sister KC's kids for the weekend we are doing the Halloween thing with her three kids. I'll be honest I'm not much of a Halloween person but doing it with little kids is adorable. Their sooo cute in their little costumes. Well that's all for now. Will write again soon! Night all!

A terrible wonderful day :)

Dear Blog World, Today was supposed to be a horrible day but it wasn't. Today I woke up and wanted to stay in bed where my sweetheart snored contently, he is so lucky right now! He doesn't have an official "job" even though he is working on starting his business/website by the way check it out and give me tips if you have any ideas for improvement it's supposed to be better than craigslist, and any city guide for vegas 702cityguide.com, anyhow, I was envious that I could fall back into a deep slumber. I went to work and it was so busy I felt like my brains would explode, it was really fast-paced, but I like that, it makes it go by fast. At lunch, I had a very good conversation with my co-worker we talked about the church (the church of jesus christ of latter day saints who we are both members of). She told me her story of being a convert to the church it was very nice I admire her a lot and we talked about marriage a bit, Okay this is where the day got terrible, and I really am so embarrassed for even mentioning this but I have to explain. I've worked so hard on this math class that I've been taking I have done pretty well throughout and awesome really in the beginning, I took the final and didn't get the score I needed, I needed to get half the questions right or they fail you on the course. Well I was 2 questions off, I was annoyed because I was so close, Math is not my forte. Although usually academically, I'm a very accomplished student however Math makes me looker dumber than a doorknob and surprisingly enough I tutor in Math for younger kids! I worked at a tutoring center called Math Monkey, and did very well there!!! haha well of course it was all elementary-high school math, nothing like this horrible college math. Anyway surprisingly enough I anticipated my great score after the instructor let me retake my final and guess what my score was even worse than the 1st time I took it!!!!! WHAAAAT!?! How is this even possible I felt way more prepared and was positive I'd get at least AT LEAST a 70%. To admit this is a low blow to my intellectual ego. Oh well, so I wrote a petition to the instructor and we'll see how it goes. I want to be educated, I want to finish my degree! Having this math class in the way is very frustrating! By the way I'm a very serious Behavioral Science emphasis Psychology major. yeah math's got nothing to do with that title lol...So I felt horrible for about 3 minutes I mean down in the dumps those moments you feel like dirt, you feel ugly, stupid, insecure, and all those awful things nothing seems right you look in the mirror and want to cry because you realize you have food in your teeth or your make up is smeared and you look wierd. Yeah one of those moments. Then I thought, oh well, I did my best and that's all I can do. I decided to have a good attitude when I got home today and tried my best to come home looking anything but depressive. I might be down but I sure wasn't going to bring Adrien down too. So I came home having a wounded ego and spirit but came inside the house and there was a beautifully arranged table with champagne glasses (filled with apple juice) and soup and bread, and, it was the sweetest thing ever. It was a perfect thing to arrive to when I got home. My blessed husband gave me a big hug and kiss and told me how pretty I was (although I don't feel it). Now I'm going to watch Dancing with the Stars and enjoy a bit of light reading such as my current series I'm on... Catching Fire second book in the Hunger games series, which I loved the first book!!! It reminds me of those other corrupt societies such as 1984 and fahrenheit 451, you know the other type of government controlling futuristic societies. Loved Hunger Games, definitely recommend it to everyone. Anyway good night world, today was terrible but it's getting more and more wonderful by the minute now that I can end it on a very good note and spend time with a WONDERFUL husband who isn't perfect but he does the perfect things A LOT lately. Now if the laundry could magically take care of itself and I could have a working dryer, that would make the math test frustration disappear entirely. Goodnight all! Jura

late nights and fairytales

Dear blog world, Today started very early for me. I talked to my friend Diana today on facebook till 3 am. Since she has had similar experiences as myself we talked a lot about well girl stuff I guess you could say. It's amazing how people don't realize how difficult it can be for North Americans which includes certain parts of Canada (like where Diana is from) to adjust to certain European cultures. I have grown an admiration and great love for a lot of people in France but the mentality is very different. I'll explain more as time goes on with specific examples but there can be a lot of flushed with anger moments and teary protests as two cultures try to understand each another. If being male and female isn't enough throw culture into the mix. This is not to say that this can't happen between a contenient as well for example an east coaster and a southerner. No matter what relationship it is there are always conflicts. When you are with someone who doesn't share the same cultural and language background it takes a lot of patience and understanding and sometimes having to try to communicate in a way as to not offend the other person. Sometimes there can be a bit of misunderstandings. I pondered all this, this morning as my sweetheart and I went about a normal morning routine being especially sharing, caring, and understanding. I feel a bit of relief that we've learned to understand each another a bit more. It's a huge leap for us, not that there won't be bumps but I'm happy that I married a man that is willing to make efforts. The Fairytale where everything is perfect is of course commonly seen as completely untrue but I feel like although reality is very real I'd like to think I got exactly the fairy tale I wanted and ever hoped for. So to all those men out there just make efforts that's all we ask :)

Why I started a blog.

Dear blog world, family, and friends and whoever may read my blog... That's right. I gave in...I'm now blogging. There are several reasons why I wanted to start this blog and whether or not anyone is interested in reading the reasons here they are. 1. So I can share experiences, thoughts, and ideas and even possibly feelings with others (without sharing anything too personal or too private that's what journals are for :)). 2. I love writing and speaking, with this blog I feel I can go into as much story detail as I wish and letting those who like to hear more to be able to read more. If not, that's ok because really you do a blog for yourself as hopefully a positive outlet and to share with people a greater sense of who you are. 3. I'm tossing around some possible story ideas and I might post some inserts here and there. We'll see how creative I get. 4. I have to admit who really got me into really starting this blog is Diana Gallant. Only a few people will understand who I'm talking about. Such a nice girl who is in France right now and is writing about her experiences. I wish I had started when I was in France and when Adrien and I were dating but that comes to my next reason... 5. I married a european man. There is so many interesting things that have happened since I met Adrien that I want to write about it! I say he's French most of the time but technically he's a native Dutch born in Belgium and lived in France most of his life and that's why he speaks French however his sweet "mum" is from England. So technically he is half Dutch and half English. But is very much been adapted in the French culture, although he has a lot of the English manners and demeanor because of his sweet English mother :). Now to the point because our relationship has so much culture involved I thought it might be interesting to write about it. Nothing dramatic only fascinating and interesting things. Adrien might write a post too. I put this as our little family blog but I will probably do most of the writing since he's not too interested in blogging really. 6. I'd like to hear comments, I might ask questions or ask if anyone has had this experience or that or agrees or disagrees. It's very interesting for me to hear what you all might be thinking about posts. Let me know...this might be my curious psychology side speaking but i'm an open person, open to different perspectives. My dad used to tell me "a person's perspective is always going to be truth." meaning in your mind everything that you perceive to be truth is truth according to you therefore that's why when you have a difference of opinion to somebody else and you really feel your way is the right way, it is your perspective and can be made up of what you have witnessed yourself or have been taught and how that translates to your brain. So to you, you are right. Just food for thought there. You can go on and on about this topic but I'm leaving it alone for right now. So everything I say here will be my perspective, whether others agree with it or not it's alright by me. But I'm doing my best to be as genuine and honest about how I relate experiences or thoughts, or even stories where others might have been with me, when it happened or has happened. 7. I have a bad memory. I don't know why I can remember some movie I watched when I was four and not remember the first time I rode a bike but I especially want to remember some stories however unbelievable they may seem to be. I want to share them in story form to my posterity. I'm pretty sure the Internet is here to stay for a long time. That's why I can save the handwritten journal time for more personal matters, these are things here I want to share with everyone!!! Please note: I usually won't have time to read over what I wrote please be understanding of missed typing errors, especially since almost always I am writing this from my phone it's hard to read over or see errors. If I've written something that seems confusing and you'd like me to explain please ask me with your comments. Thank you! in closing.... Well blog world that's all I can think of as far as why i started this blog just to name a few reasons I hope for an exciting journey ahead and I love life (most days:)). I really have a wonderful husband and am very blessed. With the holiday season approaching I feel a lot of gratitude for my family and the experiences our heavenly father has given me. Here marks the beginning of the blog our Kool family. Since Kool is our last name lol... That's why I decided to have it as the title and of course in French as well....:D by the way I'm working on learning French better so I might post some entries in French to help my French. Those who speak French please correct my errors if you see them. Good day all will write again soon! Jura :D
